I watched The Haunting in Connecticut last night (I know, I’m late). To be honest, I wasn’t that impressed with the movie. I didn’t fully understand it or I’m just not focusing that much? =) But it did scared me a little. I think it was this only one scene where the mother is about to get out of her bed when she heard some noises then… you know what happened. ;] Haha!

I even researched about the ectoplasm thingy and read about the true story claims. Yeah, I love reading true stories. =D

Oh well, I want to watch more horror/thriller movies since it’s the month of “Halloween” and I wanted to scare myself. =P

An Irish priest was kidnapped Sunday in the southern Philippines, his missionary society said.

“Four or five” men burst into Father Michael Sinnott’s garden Sunday and took him, his missionary society said.

Father Michael Sinnott, part of the Missionary Society of St. Columban, was kidnapped at about 7:30 p.m. local time “from outside his home in Pagadian City, Province of Zamboanga del Sur, Mindanao, as he was taking an evening stroll in the garden,” the society said.

“Four or five armed men burst into the garden and bundled [Father] Michael into a pickup truck and drove to a local beach. The vehicle was abandoned and burnt. [Father] Michael was taken away in a speed boat.”

The Mindanao area has been gripped by violence and repeated kidnappings as government forces battle Islamic militants who seek a separate Islamic state.
