Happy Happy!

I really can’t think of a decent title to start my 2009.

Anyway, I want to blog the best things slash worst things that happened to me during 2008.

1. Went out with my childhood friends after 2 years of no contact! Mind you, when I say ‘childhood’ that means, we’ve been friends for almost 16 years now. Phew!

2. Kathy had a 2 week vacation here in Philippines from Hawaii after 5 years! Hay, I missed her really. This is also the first time me and my childhood friends had a real girls night out!

3. Bonding with my girls more often.

4. I was able to buy myself a Sony Cybershot W55 and Nokia 5300 using my OWN money. Thank you SP’s.

5. Had a quality time with the family. Mom, dad, trish, mike.

6. Well, the worst part here is that, I was not able to attend my 4th year college.

7. I’m losing my social life… <- this is really sad. SO SAD.

8. I became more housebound ever. (I never want this to happen)

9. I was not able to save a single cent from all my earnings via blogging. ARGH!

10. Dino and Potchay died :(

11. We found a poodle and named her Kookie :)

So I guess that’s it. It’s really hard to think you know. Hehe. Again, Happy New Year friends! Godbless you.

Busy busy busy

First of all, I’m very sorry for not being able to return all those EC drop cards. I became very very very (okay, that’s really exaggerating) busy. Haha :) Not to mention our ISP’s acting up. Err

Anyway, lemme break down all the things that happened to me for the past week.

1) Managed to finished 2 popular books of Agatha Christie (Sleeping Murder and Murder in the Orient Express). All I can say is.. BRILLIANT! BLOODY BRILLIANT!

2) I changed my host (my main blog’s host) which is btw, really annoying. I won’t say the web hosting company. I still have some respect for them after all those bullshitting downtimes.

3) Busy with Adobe Photoshop. <3

So there, I’m truly sorry for 4 days of no updates.

I won’t be able to update this 25tth, so I want to greet all of you a HAPPY CHRISTMAS

Toodles~!

Fruits and Veggies

How well do you know your fruits and veggies?

I’m sure some of you have their own favorite fruits and veggies. If you’ll ask me, mine is Mango for fruits and as for veggies? Hmmm, I don’t know if corn is part of the veggie family. Haha! sorry.

So anyway, I want to share this interesting article from Candy Magazine May 2002 issue. (btw, I’m a big fan of Candy Mags way back in High School =])

Anyways, back to our topic. Let’s start off.
Did you know that,

1. A medium tomato can give you 40% of the recommended daily allowance for vitamin C?

2. Half of a grapefruit can give you all the vitamin C your body needs for the day?

3. Cauliflower means cabbage flower because it is a member of the cabbage family?

4. You can just rub a cut onion to heal an insect bite?

5. An apple, onion and potato all the taste the same? You think they taste different because of their smell. Test it! Pinch your nose and take a bite from each. They will all taste sweet. – eww.. I don’t eat onions alone. I didn’t know about this. Haha!

6. Eating too many carrots can give your skin a slight orange hue? Just stayy off them for a while to return to your normal skin tone. – so if you’re a carrot junkie! hahaha, better stay out of it for a while or else you’ll be walking looking like a human carrot.

7. Broccoli is the only vegetable that is a flower. – omg, this too! but I kinda love broccoli =]

8. The tomato was called “Apple of Paradise” by the Germans and the “Apple of Love” by the French.

9. Lachanophobia is the fear of vegetables. - fear of vegetables? why would they fear of it?

10. Apples do a much better job than caffeine in perking you up in the morning. – REALLY? I’ve been taking in a lot of caffeine! I should try this one for a change!

11. Tomatoes are good source of vitamin A?

12. The inner temperature of a cucumber can be as low as 20 degrees cooler than the outside temp? Thus, saying “cool as a cucumber”.

Cool right? Haha!
