OKAY. I am seriously having an eyegasm everytime I look at Dominic Cooper. I even made the first photo below as my wallpaper on my iPhone! Teehee~ I am not the type of person to put actors as my wallpapers (except for the last one — Wes Bentley as Seneca Crane). And now that I thought of this, I therefore conclude that I have a thing for guys with beards (plus points if he’s British. I mean, if it compliments their overall appearance. For now, it’s Dominic Cooper. Ahhh, can I just kiss that lips!
What is it with classic Disney movies being made into live action movies? I’m not complaining though. Just thinking out loud. ;]
I’m a Disney baby and seeing these classic fairy tale movies come to life, well, I’m a happy girl. What made it more interesting is the turn of events which made the happy-ever-after fairy tales become dark and a bit twisted. One example is the recent movie of Kristen Stewart, Snow White and the Huntsman. Though I never really like K-Stew’s acting abilities and her, well, face, I have to say the movie is brilliant! Absolutely well-made.
After reading the news that Emma Watson will star as Beauty in Beauty and the Beast, here comes another retelling of the Disney movie, Sleeping Beauty. Only this time, in the Evil Queen’s point of view. The title is not even Sleeping Beauty, but Malificent. It stars Angelina Jolie as Maleficent. The story will revolve at the queen as to why she became evil.
Maleficent is due in cinemas on March 14th, 2014.
I love the first movie of Men in Black. I didn’t like so much the second. But this third movie made up for it. I like the fact that Emma Thompson (also known as Professor Trelawney of Harry Potter series) also stars the movie. She was funny in every single way! Haha.
Anyway, what can I say? First, I freaking didn’t recognized Nicole Scherzinger as Boris’ girlfriend at the beginning of the film. That’s why I thought she looked familiar! Damn. Second, JOSH BROSLIN as young Agent K! HAHAHA! Another one of my “I didn’t recoginzed him!”. Yeah. I just found out while writing this post. Again, that’s why he looked familiar because he was Mikey’s older brother in The Goonies.
If you’re thinking if that’s the end of Men in Black franchise, well, no. They are planning to do another one. Though, I can’t really see what story they’re going to present in the fourth movie. Hmmm.. Any theories?
So I finally got the chance to watch this movie. I’ve been waiting for its DVD release for quite some time now and I’m glad I found it.
I have to say that I LOVE IT! I can’t believe I didn’t watch it on the big screen! I let it pass! Gah. I first saw it on the National Bookstore’s but then that time, I wasn’t the vampire book type of reader. I’m cursing myself for not even thinking twice.
PLOT: Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States, discovers vampires are planning to take over the United States. He makes it his mission to eliminate them.
I know how it sounds. Crazy right? Abraham Lincoln? A vampire hunter? Who in their right mind would write such a thing? Fortunately, Seth Grahame-Smith did. He also wrote Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.
I have to say that the vampire hunter thing blended so well with the American Civil War. That behind the slavery, the vampires are also feasting. Now vampires here are quite different, really. Unlike the popular one that “sparkles”, vampires here put on sunscreens for sun protection, has superhuman skills (obviously) and they can go invisible! That last part is new to me. :]
I also like the fact that the actor (Benjamin Walker) who portrayed Abraham Lincoln bore some similarities to the real Abraham during his adult life. Great job behind his transformation. ;] Oh!! Can I just say that Dominic Cooper is just so hot in here?
PS. I LOVE LOVE LOVE THE END CREDITS and Linkin Park’s POWERLESS! BRILLIANT!
