The Michael Jackson hype isn’t over yet people. A jewelled white glove Michael Jackson threw to an Australian fan in 1996 has been sold for about $49,000!!

The late singer tossed the glove into a crowd after a film premiere while he was visiting the country as part of his History world tour in 1996.

It was caught by music collector Bill Hibble, who has since died. His mother put the glove up for auction.

The glove was bought by the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

Michael Jackson’s death was ruled a homicide

mj Is this true? I was browsing awhile ago then this caught my attention.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Pop star Michael Jackson’s death was ruled a homicide from drug overdose on Friday, fueling speculation his personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, may soon be charged with manslaughter or another crime.

The Los Angeles County Coroner said in its ruling that the powerful anesthetic propofol, which is used in surgery and has been dubbed “milk of amnesia” by some doctors, as well as the sedative lorazepam were the primary drugs responsible for Jackson’s sudden death on June 25 at the age of 50.

Other drugs found in the singer’s body were midazolam, diazepam, lidocaine and ephedrine.

Los Angeles police said they will refer the case to prosecutors for possible criminal charges when they have completed a probe into Jackson’s death. In previous court filings, police have said Murray, who was with the singer the day he died, was being investigated for manslaughter.

Jackson, whose “Thriller” CD is the best-selling album of all time, died suddenly in Los Angeles after suffering cardiac arrest only weeks before a series of comeback concerts.

Murray, a heart specialist with offices in Houston and Las Vegas, was hired to care for the singer while he prepared for the concerts, and he was at Jackson’s bedside the day he died.

The doctor previously has admitted to police that he administered propofol, which has a milky appearance and is used to sedate patients, to help Jackson sleep.

RUSH TO CHARGE?

Police have looked into the activities of other Jackson doctors including his dermatologist.

On Friday the California Attorney General’s office said it will begin an independent investigation of several physicians whose names have come up in the Los Angeles police probe.

Murray’s attorney cautioned that the probe is not complete, nor are all the details of Jackson’s death known.

“We will not be responding until we get a full autopsy report, including the entire list of drugs found in Mr. Jackson, their quantities, and all other data that would allow independent medical experts to analyze and interpret,” attorney Ed Chernoff said in a statement.

The coroner said the complete toxicology report remained sealed at the request of Los Angeles police and prosecutors.

The list of drugs in Jackson’s system provided by the coroner on Friday reads like a cocktail of sedatives, painkillers and one stimulant. Midazolam, which is similar to propofol, is used to make patients drowsy during procedures such as colonoscopies.

Diazepam, the generic version of Valium, is used to calm anxiety, while lidocaine is a painkiller and ephedrine is a stimulant.

Defense attorney Steve Cron, a professor at Pepperdine University School of Law, said Murray could face up to four years in prison if convicted of involuntary manslaughter.

Forensics expert Dr. Lawrence Kobilinsky, who chairs the Department of Science at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, said prosecutors would look at the amount of propofol and other drugs in Jackson’s system, whether errors were made in administering drugs in combination, and whether Murray gave proper dosages or a lethal dosage.

Jim Cohen, a professor of law at Fordham University, said Murray could put up a vigorous defense.

“It’s not an open and shut case,” he said. “Everyone says (propofol) can only be administered in a hospital setting. I’m sure they’ll find some expert who says that’s preferred, but preferred doesn’t mean it’s required.”

CSI Las Vegas Season 10

I am really excited to watch CSI Season 10! Eventhough Gil Grissom won’t be coming back, at least Sarah Sidle is!

Here’s a piece of article about her comeback.

Lauren Lee Smith is not going to be back for the tenth season of CSI, executive producer Naren Shankar told TV Guide Magazine. And, much like the departure of Kim Delaney on her first season in CSI: Miami, it’s because the character just wasn’t working well as everyone had expected.

“It was an issue of how we were feeling the ensemble was working,” Shankar said. “When we brought in the character of Riley, it got lost in the shuffle a little bit because we had lost Warrick, we had lost Sara, and then in the middle of last season Grissom finally left. I think, as a result, the character never quite found its footing in terms of the rest of the gang.”

And, perhaps, the fact that some CSI fans never really warmed to her, at least as a replacement for Jorja Fox, who left the show in the eighth season. Well, that’s moot, then, as Fox’s returning to the show for, according to Shankar, at least five episodes. “She shows up because the team is understaffed,” he said. “The undersheriff reaches out for a recommendation and Sara says, ‘I think that person might be me.’”

“The team has had a rough year–there has been a lot going on–and so Sara comes back mostly just to see if she can help for a while, because she loves those guys and she misses them,” Fox told the magazine in a separate interview.

Her five-episode stint is expected to address why she returns to the Las Vegas team–it’s been revealed before that she’ll be dealing with another serial killer–and all those questions about what happened between her and Grissom. “That will hopefully be a reveal in the premiere,” Fox said. “They’ve prevented me from discussing Grissom at all.”

While it’s not sure whether she’s going to stay, Shankar promises that fans will be in for a treat. “We’re going to spotlight her for the episodes that she’ll be in,” he promises.

Well, you get some, you lose some. Or, I guess Riley wasn’t so lucky after all…

Money – Liza Minella and Joel Grey

I didn’t know that Liza Minelli sang this song. I remember perfectly, that I heard this song from one of our local filipino movies. (I think it’s a Jimmy Santos’ movie) I don’t know what came up to me that I just typed the keyword: “money makes the world go round” and to my surprise, that video came up. =)) I must say they really sang well! But it kinda freaked me at the very first part where they say… “MONEY“. LOL.

Madonna’s stage collapsed

The stage that is being constructed for the concert of pop star Madonna in France has collapsed. The result is killing 1 person and injuring six people.

The cause of the collapse is still unclear.

As for the concert for July 19, it has now been cancelled.

How did it happened? According to what I read over the internet, Technicians were setting up the stage at the Velodrome stadium in Marseille when the accident occurred.

Poor fellow who didn’t make it. =(

2 Deaths at the same day

Is this coincidence or what? I mean, it’s just this morning that I read from Lindsay Lohan’s tweet that Farrah Fawcett has died (June 25, 2009). I immediately checked my source, which is wikipedia. To my surprise, it is true. That is so sad. I mean, she’s my second favorite angel at Charlie’s Angels. R.I.P Farrah. :[

And now, when I logged in to my twitter account, two of my friends tweeted about something Michael Jackson is dead (June 25, 2009) as well. According to Wikipedia the King of Pop died of Cardiac Arrest.

School of Rock 2

School of Rock is one of my favorite movies. I don’t know what came up to me just now and I tried to consult my second best friend here in the internet which is Wikipedia, about the movie.

To my surprise they’ll be doing a sequel to it! Haha! Jack Black is really awesome when it comes to comedy movies (for me he is! haha, I love comedies). What really made me happy is that, he’ll be reprising his role as Dewey Finn. But sadly, the kids from the first movie isn’t going to be there. I think. (duh, they’re teens now!)

And oh! this might probably be not new to you guys but hell! Did you know that Joey Gaydon (the cute kid who plays the lead guitar in school of rock) got arrested for DUI? According to my search, he was trying to drive away from a Taco Bell while intoxicated. Oh well. I really like him at school of rock. That’s too bad of him.

Look!
